⸺ Synopsis

The documentary tells a very particular story, that of Maria Rita Gallozzi, the only Italian woman who certifies the ethics of wood. Her job is to verify that forest cutting intervention plans are responsible and sustainable. Check if reforestation has been carried out, if workers' rights are respected (fair wages, absence of child labour) and that employees work in safety. Thanks to its inspections, timber companies obtain FSC or PEFC certification (logos that we often find in many wooden and paper objects on the market).
